THE first lady of the United State, Michelle Obama took the stage at the Democratic National Convention tonight after a retrospective video produced by J.J. Abrams. Greeted with a standing ovation and Sara Bareilles’ “Brave,” the First Lady said, “It’s hard to believe that it has been eight years since I first came to this convention to talk to you about why I thought my husband should be President"
“Who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of there lives? I am here tonight because in his election, there is only one person who I trust with that responsibility — only one person who I believe is truly qualified to be President of the United States. And that is our friend Hillary Clinton”
But the obvious love for her in the hall was apparent by the loud applause and a floor flooded with signs supporting her.
And Obama continued to praise Clinton, saying: “She never quit on anything in her life, and when I think about the kind of President that I want for our girls and all our children, that’s what I want: I want someone with proven strength to persevere, someone who knows this job and takes it seriously, someone who understands that the issues a president faces are not black and white and cannot be boiled down to 140 characters.”

Who, by the way, wasn’t mentioned by name.
Another line that drew a huge cheer: “All our sons and daughter now take for granted that a woman can be President of the United States.”
The presumptive Democratic nominee apparently liked an earlier point the First Lady raised:
