Okorocha In Another Controversy, Explains His Role In A House Demolition

Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State is explaining himself again, this time he has challenged the ex-Minister of Interior, Captain Emmanuel Iheanacho, to prove to the public that his house was demolished and not his fence.

A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sam Onwuemeodo, said that, “Captain Iheanacho allowed himself to be cajoled by political jobbers to venture into media attacks against Governor Okorocha over the removal of the fence of his house at Orlu Road.”

He went further saying the demolition was in line with the government’s urban renewal programme. According to Onwuemeodo, “it is regrettable that Captain Iheanacho is finding it difficult to tell his audience that his house was never touched, but the fence of the house, alongside other fences that encroached on the Orlu-Amakohia Road, where dualisation work is taking place.

“It is not an exercise against Iheanacho or against any person, but an exercise for the good of the state.”
