Kelechi Iheanacho’s dad, James Iheanacho has debunked insinuations that his prospect for a starting team place seems to have evaporated at Manchester City, saying that his son will not go on out loan to any other club.
Iheanacho has seen little action under Pep Guardiola despite his goalscoring ratio to minutes played being the best in the league.
The former Golden Eaglets star was left out of the squad in last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham at the Ethihad Stadium, following the arrival of Brazilian Gabriel Jesus.
“Automatically Kelechi is not going on loan because his name is not among the players leaving, “ James Iheanacho told allnigeriasoccer. com.
“It is only yesterday he did not play (or make the bench). “
Saturday’s tie against Spurs was the first time this season that Iheanacho did not make Man City’s match day squad for a Premier League game.
