Super Eagles captain and Chelsea Midfielder Mikel Obi has denied media reports that he insisted that his teammates' win bonuses and allowances be paid in dollars.
It was reported in some media outlets this week that a top source in the NFF claimed the Chelsea midfielder on behalf of his Super Eagles teammates demanded they get their allowances and bonuses in dollars.
But Mikel on Thursday took to the Super Eagles official Twitter handle to debunk the claims.
"I never granted any such interview and the team had not made that kind of demand at any time to the football federation," he was quoted.
