Leicester City Set To Sign Another Super Eagles Star

Report reaching us at VintageNewsNg says top scouting officials of Leicester City have concluded plans to watch Super Eagles attacking midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo, during Nigeria’s international friendly matches against Senegal and Burkina Faso next week in London.


Etebo is in the Nigeria squad to face Senegal and Burkina Faso in friendlies billed for March 23 and 27 at Barnet’s The Hive Stadium in London. New Telegraph scooped that the 21-year-old, who plays for Feirense in Portugal would be contacted for a pre-contract talk if as his deal with the Primeira Liga side is about to expire.

The former Warri Wolves players has been attracting interest from around Europe since his four-goal haul in Nigeria’s 5-4 win over Japan at the Olympics in August. He is also being tracked by Turkish giants Fenerbahce, according to Portuguese paper A Bola.

Etebo has one goal and one assist in 18 appearances across all competitions for Feirense this season, and earned six caps for the Nigerian senior team. He also scored on his debut against Egypt, and has one assist, setting up Mikel Obi in the Super Eagles’ 3-1 World Cup qualifying win over Algeria in November, 2016.
