Nigerian youth prodigy Chidera Ejike also known as 'Nigerian Iniesta' has penned a three year deal with Norwegian side Valerenga.
The 18 year old Ejike impressed the handlers of the team during a three weeks trial period, where he played in over five test games for the Norwegian side.
Known for his quick feet, pace, tricks and near perfect passes, he has featured for the Nigeria U-17 and 20 teams in the past, and spent two weeks on trials with Liverpool.
The Gee-Lec Academy of Jos prospect last represented Gombe United before the start of his trials with Valerenga three weeks ago.
Shortly after sealing the deal, the Kaduna born forward told Owngoalnigeria.com in a chat that he is ready to finally deliver on the promises that made him one of the most coveted teen in Nigerian football.
” I want to thank my agent and everybody who have played a role in my move to Valerenga. I am eternally grateful to the coaches of the team as well”, he said.
” To the fans of Valerenga, hopefully we will have a lot to celebrate in the coming season as I promise to give my best for the team, which is primary to me ahead of any personal ambition of mine”.
