How James Okwuosa Could Be Nigeria's Joker In Defence Against Cameroon

Okwuosa

A South African based journalist Robert Sinkal has advised Super Eagles technical adviser Gernot Rohr to call up Chippa United skipper James Okwuosa, when Nigeria take on Cameroon next year.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are billed to trade tackle with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in September for the top spot of group B of the CAF World Cup 2018 qualifiers, and Sinkala believes that Okwuosa could be useful for Nigeria against the physical Cameroonians.

Okwuosa last invitation to the Super Eagles was under coach Stephen Keshi, since then the former Enugu Rangers captain who has been playing in South Africa since 2012 has not been called up.

” He is very strong and good in the air. His strength is extra ordinary, something that I believe will aid Nigeria’s chances against Cameroon if he is called up”, Sinkala told Owngoalnigeria while assessing the talents of the 26 year old.

” He has the ability to knock opponents off the ball with ease, and his usage of the ball has greatly improved this season. I will say he belongs to the league of top five defenders we have in the league”.
