2017 Budget To Be Delayed Again As National Assembly Announces Date
The passage of the 2017 Appropriation bill will not be coming soon as widely expected by most Nigerians as the National Assembly on Wednesday said it was set to pass the 2017 Budget on March 17.
The National Assembly Joint Committees on Appropriation made this known in Abuja.
The Chairmen of the Senate and House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Senator Danjuma Goje and Hon. Abdulmumini Jibrin, revealed this when they addressed newsmen on Wednesday.
Goje said the sub-committees of the two chambers have interacted with the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies under their purviews and have submitted their reports.
He said the final report would be submitted in a few days from now to allow for passage on March 17.
